Two species that are relatively recent arrivals in Minneapolis. Gingko trees are like an old friend visiting us again, once being widespread in North America millions of years ago. Only a few remote groves in China survived until reintroduction 200 years ago. House Sparrows are an uninvited nosy neighbor, introduced from Europe in 1852, intent on pushing out native birds. Fun to watch them though.
