Squirrellionaire

24″ x 18″ – four-color screen print
Ever noticed how some squirrels have all the acorns and other squirrels barely have any? I was watching the squirrels in Minnehaha Park and I started thinking about why that is — seems like there’s more than enough to go around. If the average oak tree produces roughly 2,000 acorns per year, a squirrel would have to stash away the goods from 500,000 trees to become a billionaire. I wonder how many acorns the richest squirrel in the park has?
